ICAP Executive Search & Selection, on behalf of its client, a dynamic and innovative company in full expansion focusing on the management of assets in the renewable energy sector, is seeking for a professional to join their team in Bucharest as:

Senior Accountant (Ref. 6097/SA/ESS/RO)

Responsibilities:

• Oversee accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with Romanian standards, tax regulations, and IFRS.
• Manage general record activities, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable, and fixed assets.
• Prepare and review tax filings, including VAT, corporate tax, and dividends.
• Monitor cash flow and budgets, providing daily updates on bank balances to shareholders.
• Support management with financial analysis, reports, and ad-hoc requests for decision-making.
• Liaise with consultants, banks, and authorities.
• Manage the archiving of accounting and administrative documents in both physical and electronic formats.
• Cooperate with and support the junior staff of the rest of the accounting team, while collaborating with Legal, Technical, and international departments.
• Verify contracts with suppliers/customers and prepare internal administrative documents and loan agreements.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Professional qualification (CECCAR or similar) is considered an advantage.
• Excellent command of the English language, both spoken and written.
• Advanced user of MS Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and ability to meet deadlines.
• High attention to detail, accuracy, and strong analytical skills.
• Proactive, reliable, and team-oriented mindset.
• Possession of a driver’s license and availability to travel.
• Experience in energy, infrastructure, or project-based companies is highly desirable.
• Experience in multinational or group reporting environments is a plus.
