As we expand our operational capabilities through a new local R&D Center in Timișoara, we’re looking for qualified and skilled R&D PTM to join our company and take ownership over the technical development of advanced automotive lighting systems for global OEM customers.

This role is ideal for engineering professionals with a strong background in headlamp and rear lamp development within a Tier 1 automotive supplier environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and support the technical development of complete automotive lighting systems from RFQ through SOP, ensuring compliance with customer demands and targets.
- Drive technical feasibility studies and RFQ activities, supporting quotation and product planning.
- Ensure product designs meet performance, reliability, manufacturability and cost objectives.
- Serve as the primary technical interface with OEM engineering teams throughout the product development lifecycle and, cross-functionally, provide technical leadership to multidisciplinary engineering teams, including Mechanical Design, Optical, Electronics, Simulation, Tooling, Manufacturing and Quality.
- Support prototype builds, validation activities, design verification, and production readiness.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related engineering discipline is mandatory.
- 3–5+ years of experience in automotive lighting product development within a Tier 1 supplier environment.
- Proven experience managing the technical development of headlamp and/or rear lamp projects for global OEMs.
- Strong knowledge of plastic materials, injection molding, tooling technologies.
- Good CAD skills with extensive experience in mechanical design for plastic components and assemblies using CATIA V5.
- Basic EE background.
- Advanced digital skills, MS Office, receptive to other remote applications.
- Strong communication skills written/spoken.
- Advanced English communication skills (written, spoken). Additional languages are positively considered.
- Experience working in multicultural environments coordinating resources in different countries and time-zones.
