Job brief

We are looking for a full time Purchasing & Stock Controlling Officer to manage our purchase merchandise based on our company’s needs.

Candidate responsibilities include purchase order generation, stock rotation analysis, tracking shipments and maintaining reports of purchases and replenishment pricing.

To be successful in this role, you should be familiar with supply chain procedures and have good communication skills to interact with vendors, clients and internal teams. 

Responsibilities

  • Enter purchase details (vendors information, invoices and pricing) into internal databases

  • Place orders to replenish merchandise as needed

  • Track shipments and address any delays

  • Evaluate suppliers’ offers and negotiate profitable deals

  • Defining stock control approach to serve company strategy

  • Forecast supply and demand to prevent overstocking and running out-of-stock (OOS)

  • Oversee storage of products, particularly of fragile items

  • Participate to annual and ad-hoc inventory audits

  • Liaise with warehouse staff and other internal teams to test products’ quality (status upon delivery and storage conditions)

  • Keep updated inventory records (including daily shipments)

  • Ensure purchases do not exceed budget

Requirements

  • Proven work experience as a Purchasing & Stock Controller, Inventory Officer or similar role

  • Good understanding of supply chain procedures

  • Working knowledge of inventory management modules (. SAP MRP)

  • Active participation in inventory audit

  • Good communication and negotiation abilities

  • Open and positive attitude

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point)

  • Good level of English

  • Previous experience in leading small teams is an advantage

  • SAP ERP experience will be an advantage
