Job Title: Purchaser – International Supply Chain

Key Responsibilities

Procurement & Supplier Management

• Source, evaluate, and onboard suppliers for international procurement (EU/China/global)
• Request and compare quotations; negotiate pricing, lead times, Incoterms, and payment terms
• Negotiate and prepare to sign supply agreements with the main suppliers
• Place purchase orders and ensure order confirmations are complete and compliant
• Track supplier performance (delivery reliability, quality, responsiveness) and drive improvements
• Coordinate material availability with project needs and internal handovers (sales → execution).

Supply Chain Coordination & Delivery Tracking

• Monitor delivery dates and proactively follow up with suppliers, forwarders, and our logistics team CN and RO
• Organize freight either by instructing our Chinese logistics team or booking directly with forwarders
• Escalate delays early; provide clear status updates to sales/customer support and internal stakeholders

International Logistics & Documentation

• Prepare and maintain purchasing and shipping documentation (e.g., proforma invoices, dispatch notes, packing lists, commercial docs as needed)
• Ensure documentation quality and version control in line with contract/order requirements and internal templates

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Liaise closely with Sales & Customer Support (order priorities, customercommitments, delivery updates)

• Coordinate with engineering and operations to translate technical requirements into purchasing specifications
• Work with colleagues in RO and CN plant (purchasing, logistics, production planning) to align procurement and shipment execution

Performance Targets

• Fast response times through direct, proactive internal and external communication
• High on-time delivery performance and transparent delivery status reporting
• Improved cost and efficiency of purchasing and logistics processes (freight, lead times, ordering routines)
• High documentation quality (clear, complete, audit-ready) supporting customer satisfaction

Profile & Qualifications

• Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering, or comparable commercial/technical training
• 3+ years of experience in purchasing / supply chain / logistics in an industrial or technical environment
• Strong negotiation skills and proven supplier communication capability
• Excellent attention to detail and structured working method (documentation, delivery follow-up, version control)
• Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Fluent English; additional languages are a plus (German/Chinese beneficial depending on interface)
• Experience with ERP/CRM is a plus (e.g., SAP / Zoho / Salesforce or similar)
