Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or a related technical field;
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in Project Management within the automotive industry, including successful launch management activities;
  • Advanced English language skills (written and spoken), German language skills are considered an advantage;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Microsoft Teams;
  • Strong knowledge of Project Management methodologies and tools, including APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning);
  • Good understanding of PFMEA, Control Plans, and production process validation activities;
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and engineering specifications;
  • Knowledge of process capability studies, quality zones, and manufacturing quality requirements;
  • Experience with quality management tools and problem-solving methodologies (Pareto Analysis, Ishikawa, 5 Why, etc.);
  • Understanding of production ramp-up planning, capacity calculations, and industrialization processes;
  • Knowledge of engineering change management processes and systems;
  • Understanding of automotive quality standards, including IATF 16949 and VDA 6.3;
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing and production systems (JIT, JIS, Kanban) as well as workplace ergonomics principles;
  • Knowledge of customer-specific requirements (CSR) within the automotive industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Plans and defines the resources required for project implementation and provide input to the Project Manager for the preparation of the project investment plan;
  • Ensures compliance with project milestones, PMS requirements, and project timing plans, as well as the on-time delivery and quality of parts from pre-series phase through SOP and serial production, in alignment with HQ project requirements;
  • Identifies and requests the necessary human and material resources to support successful project execution;
  • Organizes, leads, and participates in project meetings involving plant functions and cross-functional project teams;
  • Ensures the availability of resources required to achieve project objectives within scope, timeline, quality, and budget targets;
  • Coordinates, monitors, and drives project activities throughout all launch phases;
  • Assigns, coordinates, and follows up on project tasks ensuring timely completion and accountability across the project team;
  • Tracks project status and initiates actions in accordance with PMS procedures;
  • Monitors project costs from the launch phase onward, ensuring adherence to approved budgets and identifying potential risks or deviations;
  • Supports project budget definition, investment planning, cost forecasting, and financial tracking throughout the project lifecycle;
  • Manages the successful handover of projects from the launch phase to serial production;
  • Monitors process KPIs and drives actions to achieve product and process maturity within the defined timeline;
  • Prepares and presents regular project status reports to plant management and project stakeholders;
  • Ensures appropriate representation of the production site in key customer meetings, either directly or through designated company representatives;
  • Contributes to investment planning activities and support decision-making regarding project-related expenditures;
  • Proactively identifies project risks, develop mitigation plans, and drives corrective actions to ensure successful project delivery;
  • Facilitates clear communication and strong collaboration among all project stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, headquarters teams, and plant departments.
