We’re looking for a Process Design Engineer who wants to be part of a team that builds projects with real impact. You’ll join a leading engineering company in Bucharest, part of an international group involved in major infrastructure and industrial developments across Europe. In this role, you’ll be responsible for developing and documenting technological processes for water treatment, industrial water systems, and wastewater treatment plants across all project phases—from bidding to execution. You’ll work closely with multidisciplinary teams, validate technical solutions and equipment, and support project delivery to ensure quality, compliance, and operational efficiency.

This is an on‑site role in a modern office 5 minutes from Pipera metro.

• Prepare technical notes, design reports, sizing calculations, mass and thermal balances, process flow diagrams, and P&ID diagrams for potable water, industrial water, and wastewater treatment plants.
• Develop and dimension treatment and pretreatment process lines, proposing the required technological stages.
• Prepare quality assurance documentation for both tender and execution phases.
• Develop and/or verify the hydraulic profile of installations.
• Prepare and verify equipment and component lists.
• Prepare and verify technical specifications for equipment across all project phases (including Purchase Orders).
• Ensure technical interface with all other departments involved in the project.
• Prepare project budgets and study schedules.
• Ensure compliance with internal procedures, coding rules, and allocated design budgets.

• Coordinate the project team and supervise the preparation of technical documents by design engineers.
• Collaborate with the drafting office to define the necessary resources for assigned projects.
• Register and track all project documents within the official document lists.
• Validate the technical compliance of the equipment proposed for procurement.
• Validate all transmittal sheets for technical documentation.
• Represent the Technical Department in the relationship with the Client for assigned projects.
• Ensure adherence to project schedules and efficient use of resources for both the Client and the company.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in process engineering, preferably in water and wastewater treatment projects.
• Solid knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes, installations, hydraulics, mechanics, and automation.
• Experience in industrial construction design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; experience with Revit and/or SolidWorks is an advantage.
• Advanced English (mandatory).
• French language skills are a plus.
• Availability for travel in Romania and abroad for periods of up to 3 months.
