One year temporary contract with Randstad for Philip Morris

We are looking for an experienced Payroll & Time Management Specialist to support payroll operations, drive process improvements, strengthen compliance, and contribute to a strategic payroll transformation initiative in Romania.

This role offers a unique opportunity to combine operational payroll expertise with process optimisation, vendor management, and transformation projects within a dynamic multinational environment.

✅ Support the stability and continuity of payroll and time management operations

✅ Review, validate, and improve payroll processes, controls, and compliance with Romanian legislation

✅ Identify operational risks, process inefficiencies, and opportunities for standardisation

✅ Develop and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and business continuity plans

✅ Partner with stakeholders to design future-state payroll and time management processes

✅ Support payroll transformation initiatives, including payroll vendor transitions and system enhancements

✅ Gather business requirements, participate in testing activities, and ensure transition readiness

✅ Collaborate with Payroll, P&C, Finance, Time Management teams, and external payroll providers

✅ Provide expert guidance and recommendations based on payroll best practices and market knowledge

✔ Minimum 5 years of experience in Romanian payroll and time management

✔ Strong knowledge of Romanian labour legislation, payroll regulations, and statutory requirements

✔ Experience working with outsourced payroll providers

✔ Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills

✔ Ability to navigate complex environments and drive meaningful improvements

➕ Experience in payroll transformation, implementation, or vendor transition projects

➕ Experience with process documentation and business continuity planning

➕ Previous experience within multinational organisations

➕ Romanian language proficiency
