Department Marketing Statement Ops Intrmed Specl- Conlltrl Mgmt: assists the supervisor in leading the daily operations and is directly responsible for specialized functions within the Institutional Middle Office, including the more complex processing and settling of exchange traded and OTC derivative trades. This would include activities such as broker confirm matching, failed trade reporting and resolution and Client communication. S/he will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following functions within the Middle Office division; reconciliation of and valuation of portfolio values, instructing daily margins via wires, investigating breaks and issues and data maintenance in the systems. The candidate will work closely with brokers, Clients, and the numerous custodians that BBH maintains relationships with. The candidate will be able to adapt to constantly changing client parameters and investment preferences. Responsibilities **Middle Office Support:** * Ensures daily output standards for both quality and timeliness are met. * Margin Variation reconciliation: calculation of daily variation margin, reconciliation and valuation of futures portfolios, instruction of daily margin to Custodian and Brokers * Collateral Management : run futures database for daily futures processing, disseminate and react to daily margin call * Derivatives Operations: run, assemble and disseminate reports, settle Options, issue resolution with non-US Brokers and Custodians, review and approve confirms in for Euro and Asian markets * Trade Operations: run, assemble and disseminate reports, confirm matching and settlement inquiries, Contact brokers on instructions **Reporting:** * Compiles reporting attributes on daily settlement activity and monitor open trades with assigned counterparties. * Assists with the compilation of monthly team reporting outputs as well as reporting deliverable s to internal and external constituents, as applicable. * Meets periodically with internal constituents to ensure reporting outputs are relevant for their needs. **Client Service:** * Communicates professionally and constructively to effectively resolve any trade issues in order to minimize risk and exposure. * Responds to inquiries in a timely and professional manner. * Assists or backs-up the Supervisor in client interactions, as needed. **Process Improvement:** * Understands fundamentals of relevant systems and processes. Makes suggestions for areas in which improvement s are necessary and takes the lead in putting a business plan in place for the improvements. . * Participates in new enhancement testing and rollouts to increase productivity and improve accuracy **Other:** * Participates in special projects, as requested. * Provides training to Derivative Settlements Specialists Qualifications **Education level and/or relevant experience(s):** * BS/BA degree or equivalent work experience. * 2- 3 years of experience in financial industry, preferably in a Fund Accounting, Fund Administration or Fund Operations role. **Knowledge and skills (general and technical):** * Ability to perform technical responsibilities of the job with a high level of competence. * Aptitude for thorough and timely research, analysis and resolution of a problem. * Ability to communicate professionally using effective verbal/written skills. * Ability to multi-task and effectively juggle assignments. * Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment * Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure. * Proactive approach to daily work and ability to handle multiple responsibilities * Proactive self starter who is detail and goal oriented. * Strong organizational skills. * Strong client service skills * Strong attention to detail * MS Office proficiency required-included MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Access. *Job Title:* Operations intermediate Specialist Collateral Management *Job ID:* 31716 *Full/Part Time:* Full-Time *Regular/Temporary:* Regular *Location:* Krakow
