About the Opportunity

We are looking for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer on behalf of our client, one of the largest technology companies in Romania. This is a new position within their Global Infrastructure team, created to support various upcoming projects, starting with a complete network equipment replacement (forklift upgrade) at their Bucharest office.

This is a Hybrid role, offering a balance between remote work and on-site presence (specifically required during the physical installation phases at the Bucharest office).

What you will do

• Physical Setup: As this is a "forklift" project, you will be responsible for the physical racking and stacking of equipment, professional cable management (patch panels, fiber/copper), and power connectivity at the office.
• Cisco Meraki (Full Stack): Manage the Meraki dashboard, configure switches (VLANs, LACP, STP), and deploy wireless access points (SSIDs, authentication, RF profiles).
• Fortinet Security: Set up and manage FortiGate firewalls. This includes creating firewall policies, traffic shaping, and maintaining IPsec/SSL-VPN tunnels.
• Network Design: Implement VLAN and IP addressing schemes using standard protocols (Static, OSPF, BGP).
• Documentation: Create "as-built" documentation (network diagrams, IP schemas, and configuration notes) for project handovers.
• Troubleshooting: Systematically resolve technical issues at all layers (Physical to Application) during and after project deployments.

Requirements

• Experience: 3-5 years in network infrastructure.
• Languages: English proficiency is required (Minimum B2 level, ideally C1/C2), as you will collaborate with a global team daily.
• Cisco Knowledge: CCNA certification is required as a baseline.
• Fortinet Knowledge: Experience with FortiOS (GUI & CLI). A Fortinet NSE 4 certification is a plus.
• Technical Skills: Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and Network Segmentation.
• • Hands-on experience with Meraki MX/MS/MR series.
  • Familiarity with VPN configurations and basic security profiles (Antivirus, IPS).
• Hands-on Approach: Willingness to handle the physical installation of hardware in the racks when the project requires it.

Team & Structure

The network division consists of a Senior Architect (whom you will assist with project delivery) and two Junior Engineers based in India who handle escalated troubleshooting. Your focus will be strictly on project delivery.

Success Metrics

Success is measured by the successful delivery of assigned projects and the quality of the technical documentation provided at the end of each implementation.
