Specialist in Oncology within the EU
Description of the department
Oncological activity at University Hospital conducts highly specialized cancer care, including national assignments integrated with research, development and education. The company treats patients with all solid tumour forms. There are 370 employees working here in outpatient and inpatient care with both medical treatment and radiation treatment.
A large clinical trial unit with expertise and resources for research and development is located within the business. Employees at the clinic conduct preclinical and clinical research at the Department of Oncology at the University of Gothenburg. Oncology is part of University Hospital, which also contains operating specialties. The hospital is applying to become a Comprehensive Cancer Centre within the OECI.
Description of the activity
Team 4 is a section of oncology activity that cares for patients with lung cancer, head and neck cancer, oesophageal cancer, brain tumours, lymphoma, thyroid cancer, neuroendocrine cancer, isotope treatment and paediatric radiotherapy. We work with both radiation treatment and medical cancer treatment. They have a large reception activity, an inpatient ward and an outpatient treatment ward. Clinical research is a priority, we run and participate in several clinical studies.
Requirements for competence
You are a specialist in oncology and have experience with one or more of the above diagnoses. You will work clinically but interest in research and teaching is appreciated. We can imagine a focus on radiotherapy or medical treatment or both.
Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability, including creativity and the ability to work together.

Salary during the trial period, until the candidate does not get legitimation as a specialist in Sweden is around gross SEKmonth. After the probation period, having the Swedish professional specialist legitimation, it will raise continuously up toSEK or even more.
