Job Description

• Participate in the subcontracting specifications by integrating the manufacturing constraints;
• Manage supplier consultations for production items and standards parts;
• Analyse the offers (quality, cost, deadline) in collaboration with the business manager;
• Participate in the choice of suppliers on the basis of technical criteria/ planning/ costs;
• Obtain reliable deadlines from suppliers and enforce them;
• Realize a detailed manufacturing schedule compatible with the contractual order and the means of the subcontractor;
• Monitoring the manufacturing process, the supply of standard parts, and assembly/testing; frequent visits to the manufacturer's location are needed.
• Establish a good communication with the subcontractors, by monitoring and supervising them technically;
• Organize and manage the documentation to be provided and received from subcontractors;
• Manage variances (planning, financial, technical and quality), check them, analyse the causes, and propose corrective actions;
• Share all the constraints and hard points of the subcontractor to the project team;
• Manage inspection and final tests of the accomplished items.

Requirements

• Graduated studies in mechanical engineering;
• Experience in either mechanical production, quality check of manufactured products (minimum 2 years);
• Knowledge of the methods of manufacturing, assembly and the principles of industrialization of a product: Machining/ Treatment (Coatings)/ Welding/ Materials
• Good understanding of industrial technical drawings;
• Knowledge of the industrial design and the principles of mechanics;
• Being able to estimate the realization costs and times;
• Knowledge of Romanian manufacturers network;
• Communication skills with suppliers;
• Rigour, initiative, sense of responsibility;
• Being able to operate a CAD software;
• Knowledge of English is mandatory, French is an advantage.
