Key Responsibilities
• Plan, implement, and optimize preventive and predictive maintenance activities for metal forming equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and lubrication system issues.
• Support maintenance and improvement of:
- Mechanical and hydraulic presses
- Transfer and stamping lines
- Coil feeding systems, decoilers, and straighteners
- Automated material handling systems and robots
- Tooling and dies
• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions to eliminate recurring failures.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at increasing equipment reliability, OEE, and productivity.
• Manage spare parts availability and support maintenance budgeting activities.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, machine safety requirements, and maintenance procedures.
• Maintain accurate maintenance documentation and records within the CMMS system.
• Collaborate closely with Production, Quality, Tool Shop, and Engineering teams.
• Support installation, commissioning, and qualification of new equipment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 2–5+ years of experience in metal forming, stamping, or automotive manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and industrial equipment maintenance.
- Experience with stamping presses and forming technologies.
- Familiarity with predictive and preventive maintenance methodologies.
- Knowledge of TPM, Lean Manufacturing, and reliability engineering principles.
- Experience with CMMS systems (SAP PM, Maximo, or equivalent).
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical documentation.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical data;
- Good communication and teamwork skills;
- English – intermediate level;
- German is a plus;
- Willingness to travel for initial training at the beginning of the project, prior to equipment installation on-site.
