PURPOSE/OBJECTIVE OF THE JOB:

1. Deliverables - Implement HSE&S policy guidelines and manage hazards (50%);
2. Improve - Act as an agent of change for continuous improvement and as a model of compliance and commitment (20%);
3. Capability - Leverage HSE&S expertise to support their own unit (30%);
4. People- Manage and develop collaborative relationships and provide support in the area of expertise.

1.Deliverables -Implement HSE&S policy guidelines, and manage hazards (50%)

Tasks: to ensure the implementation of HSE&S policy guidelines, plans and practices for (Activity/Area/Unit) in accordance with AkzoNobel's HSE&S Policy, Directives, Regulations and Procedures and relevant legal requirements; to contribute to the development of a safety culture and to manage hazards together with, and in support of line management.

RESULTS: HSE MANAGEMENT System established

2. Improvement - Act as a change agent for continuous improvement and as a model of compliance and commitment (20%)

Tasks: Act as a change agent for continuous improvement of Fabryo AkzoNobel's HSE&S standards, performance, capability and organizational culture in line with the AkzoNobel's programs (Safety Common Platform); together with line management, act in the production areas as a model of compliance and commitment to the AkzoNobel's Policy, Directives, Regulations & Procedures, including the risk tolerance criteria.

Results: progress towards achieving the highest level of HSE

3. Capability - Implement the HSE&S strategy to support its own unit (30%)
Tasks: To be an effective leader for the organization by leveraging and disseminating HSE&S information, delivering Safety Common Platform, HSE learning programs, audit and/or investigate incidents using different methods and/or through in-organization training and professional development activities.
RESULTS: HSE's management tree [Activity/Area/Unit] to meet company expectations.

4. People – Manage and develop collaborative and supportive relationships

Qualifications/studies:

License degree, specializations attesting the quality of specialist in HSE&S;

General skills:

• Positive influencing skills: the ability to convince others, to get their agreement/acceptance with on different plans, activities and the ability to get others to act voluntarily in the desired direction;
• Ability to take action to continuously improve processes, policies and standards;
• Ability to work in a team in the HSE&S community so that the work has "one voice" and to meet the collective objectives of the team;
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, entrepreneurial spirit, result orientation, communication skills negotiation, problem-solving, project management, business vision;
• Very good communication and writing skills in English;
• Relevant experience in different units, disciplines, areas and/or other companies;
• General people management skills.

Job-specific skills:

General and specialist knowledge of the HSE&S functional role , HSE&S management systems and programes, as well as external systems.
