Our client is an international IT group that is a leader in data management across multi-cloud environments. As part of its global expansion strategy, our client has entered the dynamic market in Bucharest and is looking for a seasoned professional who would become a Linux Technical Support Engineer.
In this highly technical role you would provide technical support of their client’s products via the telephone, email, and remote sessions, which may require careful examination of many infrastructures and other environmental variables, as well as a detailed analysis of log files. Deep analytical troubleshooting of complex technical problems and experience with or willingness to rapidly learn Linux Server operating systems is extremely desired.
This position is not a traditional call center-based customer service role. There are no more than 3 to 4 calls a day. The position is in our client’s offices in Bucharest, Romania.
Working on Linux based products.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for clients ( Enterprise customers ) via telephone, email, and web conferencing.
Research and troubleshoot customer problems and inquiries. Performing remote sessions, log analysis, thorough investigations & root cause analysis.
Proactively stay up to date with all the latest technologies concerning products and the underlying technologies.
Update and work assigned cases in a timely manner.
Maintain strong customer rapport and excellent, timely communication.
Contribute to documentation to build team’s knowledge base.
1-3 years of technical troubleshooting experience in a role where problem resolution skills were required
Certifications in server and networking highly desired
Fluent English (reading/writing/speaking)
Good knowledge of Linux-based OS
Familiarity with networking concepts
Experience with Nutanix AHV, VMware, Hyper-V will be a plus
Experience with Oracle database, Oracle RMAN, Oracle RAC (Real Application Cluster), SAP HANA will be a plus
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to quickly learn, understand and explain technical information
Ability and desire to take ownership of client issues through resolution
Excellent time management skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
