Role overview
The Legal Counsel will be responsible for providing day-to-day legal support to Symfonia’s Softeh operations, in particular to teams working directly with customers, including sales, customer support and marketing.
The role combines local business support with group-level legal alignment. Functionally, the Legal Counsel will report to the Group General Counsel based in Poland, ensuring consistency with group standards, governance and risk management. On a local level, the role will report to the Local CFO, supporting the Romanian business in its operational and commercial activities.
Key responsibilities
· Negotiating and reviewing commercial agreements with customers and business partners, including service agreements, sales agreements, IT system implementation agreements and strategic partnership agreements. Working closely with sales, marketing, services and R&D teams;
· Providing legal support in matters related to data protection and privacy;
· Advising business teams on legal aspects of optimizing internal processes;
· Drafting and updating internal and external regulations, policies and procedures;
· Cooperating closely with the Group General Counsel on corporate governance matters, alignment with group legal standards and implementation of group-wide legal initiatives.
· On going monitoring of legislation changes that may affect the activity of the Company;
· Supporting customer-facing teams in pre-litigation disputes with clients;
· Liaising with external lawyers involved in outsourced matters, including but limited to litigation and employment law;
· Building strong and trust-based relation with top management of the Company.

Requirements
· University degree in law (local bar qualification or traineeship is an advantage);
· Minimum 3-5 years of experience in the IT sector, gained in an in-house legal team or a law firm advising technology companies;
· Very good knowledge of civil and commercial law, intellectual property law, e-commerce regulations and data protection law;
· Experience in the public procurement law, including subcontracting agreements, joint venture agreements, back to back supplier agreements would be a plus;
· Strong working knowledge of MS Office and legal research tools;
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
· Ability to work effectively in an international environment and with business stakeholders;
· Strong organisational skills, accuracy, reliability and ability to manage multiple priorities.
