Key Account Manager – Modern Trade

At BDG Import, we are building the next phase of growth for some of the world’s most recognized premium spirits brands.

We are looking for a commercially driven, analytical, and entrepreneurial Key Account Manager who enjoys negotiations, building partnerships with retailers, and driving sustainable business growth in Modern Trade.

What you will do in this role

  • Build and develop strategic partnerships with key retail customers
  • Lead commercial negotiations and manage annual agreements aligned with company objectives
  • Drive profitable and sustainable growth across assigned accounts
  • Analyze sales performance, customer KPIs, market trends, and promotional effectiveness
  • Develop joint business plans together with retail partners
  • Identify opportunities for assortment optimization, new listings, and category expansion
  • Coordinate and implement promotional activities to maximize visibility and ROI
  • Work closely with Supply Chain, Trade Marketing, Finance, Marketing, and Operations teams
  • Monitor contract execution, commercial performance, investments, and in-store execution
  • Contribute to the long-term commercial strategy of the business

What we are looking for

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Key Account Management or similar commercial roles within FMCG
  • Previous experience within the spirits category will be considered a significant advantage
  • Strong negotiation and analytical skills
  • Good understanding of retail dynamics, commercial KPIs, and category management
  • Experience managing Modern Trade customers is considered a strong advantage
  • Strong ownership mindset and proactive attitude
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Advanced Romanian and English language skills
  • Passion for brands, business growth, and commercial excellence
