IB MYP Visual Arts Teacher

Currently, Genesis College, provides all levels of education: preschool, primary, middle school, and high school. Genesis College is an officially authorized school of the international IB (International Baccalaureate) program at the primary level (PYP – Primary Years Programme), middle school level (MYP – Middle Years Programme), and high school level (DP – Diploma Programme), a flexible program that emphasizes student-centered learning, focusing on the social, emotional, and academic needs of children.

Relevant Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• A university degree, preferably University of Arts, with a teaching emphasis or completion of a teacher preparation program.
• Experience and certificate in an IB/inquiry-based school setting, specifically in the MYP Art curriculum
• Minimum of two years of teaching experience at MYP. Preference will be given to candidates who have completed the IB Professional Development Training 
• A record of successful student achievement results in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme
• Experience in education.
• English is an advantage;
• Creativity and involvement;
• Availability in front of additional projects that will be part of the development program for school children;
• Desire for continuous improvement;

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

• You will teach painting, drawing and modeling courses for children, according to the study program.
• You will organize creative workshops, workshops and exhibitions. 
• You will facilitate the learning of technical skills of artistic expression - drawing, color, collage.
• You will adopt a lesson structure in a comprehensive manner, based on interdisciplinarity and audio-visual means
• You will come up with proposals for the development of the educational offer, emphasizing unique extracurricular activities, but also the organization of unconventional lessons, which have a practical character.
• You will coordinate projects and solve homework in the classroom program
• You will prepare lessons for classes of different ages and abilities
