Role Overview

The HSE Manager is responsible for defining, implementing, and monitoring the company's Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) strategy. This role ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements and management system standards, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

Key ResponsibilitiesStrategy & Management Systems

• Strategy Implementation: Define and implement the company's Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) strategy.
• Compliance & Certification: Obtain and maintain necessary authorizations, accreditations, and certifications to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and audit standards (ISO 45001, SMETA, etc.).
• Documentation: Develop, maintain, and distribute HSE documentation. Ensure obsolete documents are withdrawn and current versions are available to relevant teams.
• System Updates: Update the HSE System in accordance with new regulations, internal changes, and supplier requirements.

Audits & Continuous Improvement

• Internal Audits: Plan, organize, and conduct internal audits to verify safety and environmental system effectiveness.
• Corrective Actions: Propose corrective measures to address safety/environmental non-conformities identified during internal or external audits. Verify the resolution and effectiveness of these actions.
• Risk Assessment: Conduct regular risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential safety hazards and operational risks.

Training & Culture

• Training Programs: Plan and organize training related to HSE management systems for all personnel.
• Awareness: Ensure all employees are aware of HSE policies, objectives, and their specific responsibilities.
• Health & Environment Promotion: Promote employee health, well-being, and environmental awareness through programs such as ergonomic assessments, health screenings, and sustainability initiatives.

SAFETY AND HEALTH AT WORK responsibilities: 

• To correctly use machines, equipment, tools, hazardous substances, transport equipment and other means of production;
• Not to take out of operation, modify, change or arbitrarily remove their own security devices, especially those of machines, equipment, tools, technical installations and buildings, and to use these devices correctly;
• To inform the manager of the workplace and/or the employer of the accidents suffered by himself or by another employee;
• PSI responsabilities:
• To comply with the rules and measures of fire protection, brought to his attention in any form, by the employer or by the persons designated by him; 
• Not to carry out unauthorized maneuvers and modifications to the technical means of protection or intervention for extinguishing fires
• To keep and fill in the individual training sheets up to date; 
• To comply with the established rules regarding smoking, the use of open fires and the execution of dangerous works.
• To fulfill the measures of the fire defense plan on time and to immediately notify the hierarchical managers in case of notification of a fire emergency, explosions or other such events.
