About the Role

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Health & Safety Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety legislation, promoting a strong safety culture, and supporting the implementation of HSE policies and procedures across the organization. The responsibilities below reflect common expectations for H&S specialist roles.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with Romanian occupational health and safety legislation and company policies.
• Conduct workplace risk assessments and recommend preventive and corrective measures.
• Perform regular HSE inspections, audits, and site visits.
• Investigate workplace incidents, accidents, and near misses, and implement corrective actions.
• Develop, update, and maintain H&S documentation, procedures, and risk assessments.
• Organize and deliver H&S induction and periodic training for employees and contractors.
• Monitor the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe working practices.
• Collaborate with managers to improve workplace safety and reduce operational risks.
• Support emergency preparedness activities, including drills and emergency response plans.
• Prepare reports and maintain records related to inspections, incidents, and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related technical field.
• Occupational Health & Safety certification in accordance with Romanian legislation.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a Health & Safety role.
• Good knowledge of Romanian H&S legislation and ISO 45001 principles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good command of Microsoft Office.
• English language proficiency
