Geotechnical Design Engineer

For our new-awarded Rail Baltica Project, we are looking for an experienced Geotechnical Design Engineer willing to join us in delivering one of the most important High-Speed Rail Design Projects within the European Union.

Your responsibilities:

• Involvement in the Geotechnical technical planning infrastructure projects.
• Technical drafting in compliance with German and/or European technical standards in force.
• Development of details and execution drawings for specific Infrastructure projects and other written documentation with focus on Geotechnical engineering.
• The evaluation of technical special proposals (technical Opinions).
• Communication skills to interface and collaborate with other project team member.
• Cost estimation, cost calculation and profitability calculations.

Your qualifications: 

• Bachelor/Master degree in Rail, Roads & Bridges Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering
• At least 2 years of experience in Geotechnical design, with focus on railway/ road earthworks, retaining walls and foundations design.
• Good knowledge of industry standard software (. Slope/W, Settle3D, AutoCAD etc.)
• A team player to promote a good working environment
• Analytical thinking, hardworking, responsible and flexible
• Fluency in Romanian and English are required. Other language skills, especially German, is beneficial.
