We are seeking a Financial Accountant to manage ERP-based accounting operations, ensure tax compliance, and support financial reporting processes. This role requires strong accounting fundamentals, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently within Romanian regulatory and IFRS frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

Record, verify, and consolidate accounting transactions in the ERP system

Prepare and post journal entries for assets, liabilities, revenues, and expenses

Perform reconciliations (receivables, payables, bank accounts)

Participate in monthly closing and financial reporting processes

Prepare and submit VAT returns and other tax statements to Romanian authorities

Ensure compliance with Romanian accounting regulations and IFRS standards

Generate financial and operational reports using ERP exports and Excel

Collaborate with internal departments to ensure accurate and timely data exchange

Contribute to process standardization and automation initiatives

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics

2–4 years of experience in accounting, tax, audit, or financial reporting

Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial statements

Knowledge of Romanian chart of accounts and tax compliance (VAT, corporate income tax)

Familiarity with IFRS

Advanced Excel skills (SUMIF, IF, VLOOKUP, and data analysis tools)

Strong English proficiency (written and spoken)

Analytical mindset and attention to detail

Nice to Have

Experience in a service-based or international company

Previous exposure to the maritime or training sector
