As part of the Operations Department in a multinational company, you will be moving freight from all over the world and dealing all aspects of quoting, forwarding, customs and 3rd parties through to completion. You will also get a chance to be involved in business development and help drive our sale growth for 2021. This role would suit someone who would like to develop into a Key Account Manager or Business Development role.

You will be responsible for:

§ Researching and planning the most appropriate and cost-effective route for shipment

§ You will check and prepare documentation to meet customs and insurance requirements, packaging specifications, and compliance with overseas countries’ regulations and fiscal regimes

§ You will liaise with and manage third parties in accordance with customer requirements

§ You will arrange insurance and assist the client in the event of a claim

§ You will communicate with the customer, maintain visibility and control through all phases of the journey, including the production of management reports, statistical and unit cost analyst

§ Your will complete customs formalities or sub-contracting services

§ You will provide quotations to existing clients/ new clients and agents

§ You will help identify and support local business development opportunities

§ Together with your manager you will proactively seek out ways to grow the business

What we need from you:

· Previous experience in the freight forwarding industry is an advantage

· Fluent in both written and spoken English is mandatory

· A high level of energy with a "can-do" positive attitude and entrepreneurial spirit

· Good communication skills, persuasion, and negotiation skills.
