Position overview

We are looking for an EPLAN Electrical Engineer to join an innovative project with a leading Swiss competence center for Industry 4.0, focused on building a sustainable, human-centric, and resilient manufacturing ecosystem through knowledge exchange and collaborative research.

In this role, you will be responsible for creating and managing professional electrical documentation using EPLAN Electric P8, translating Sequences of Operation (SOO) and technical specs into precise CAE outputs. You will act as a documentation partner, delivering terminal diagrams, cable lists, and cabinet layouts that ensure technical cohesion across the BMS architecture and align with established design standards.

Responsibilities

• Execute professional electrical documentation and CAE engineering using EPLAN Electric P8;
• Translate Sequence of Operations (SOO) and technical specifications into precise control documentation;
• Develop and deliver detailed schematics, including terminal diagrams, cable lists, and cross-references;
• Design control panel and cabinet layouts based on architectural and mechanical inputs;
• Generate EPLAN-specific documentation and reports, including Bills of Materials (BoM), material lists, and cross-references;
• Ensure technical alignment with established standards and design authority guidelines;
• Collaborate effectively with engineering teams to meet defined project milestones within CET/CEST hours.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role;
• High proficiency in EPLAN Electric P8 for professional CAE documentation and reporting;
• Proven experience in delivering BAS/BMS electrical design documentation;
• Strong ability to interpret Sequence of Operations, architectural drawings, and complex mechanical inputs;
• Familiarity with BAS protocols and architectures (e.g., BACnet, Modbus) is a plus;
• Strong attention to detail regarding engineering standards and technical accuracy;
• Deliverable-focused approach, with the ability to work within an organization to meet agreed milestones;
• Professional level of proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
