Cloud2GND is a global engineering services firm specialising in standards-based wireless connectivity. Cloud2GND is seeking Embedded Wireless Software Engineers with passion for designing and implementing embedded software in C for wireless systems and network/protocol stack software. Candidates at all skill levels from Junior to Senior and beyond are welcome.
The candidate should have an understanding of the fundamentals of networking protocols and experience or interest in learning one or more wireless technologies at the protocol and implementation levels. Prior work with Bluetooth (BR/EDR, LE, and/or BT Mesh) is a strong plus, along with any experience in other networking technologies such asWiFi, ZigbeeZ-Wave, Thread, 6LoWPAN, LoRa, LoRaWAN, and/or NB-IOT.
Candidates will work in our offices in Romania, and experienced candidates have the option to work remotely. A willingness to travel is preferred but not required.
3+ years experience developing firmware in C for embedded systems and/or wireless technologies (required).
Interest in learning Bluetooth and its protocols at an in-depth level including protocol stack implementation and specification internals.
Technical English language skills (written and verbal) at an advanced level.
Other Potential Qualifications (based on experience level)
Experience in one or more wireless standards such as design and implementation of wireless technology-based products, and/or working with the related specifications, test specifications, or certification/qualification.
Deep understanding of software engineering principles and core computer science fundamentals, including modern architecture and design, particularly as it relates to the implementation of embedded systems, wireless stacks, and network protocols.
Working knowledge of computer architecture with an emphasis on the HW/SW interfaces of wireless technologies.
Experience creating technical documentation and/or specifications.
Experience with embedded security, cryptography, authentication and/or validation protocols, and related topics.
Experience debugging complex problems within embedded software/firmware and/or hardware systems.
Experience with embedded Linux and/or Real Time Operating Systems (RTOS).
Current or previous participation in one or more standards bodies/organizations related to specification or test activities.
Experience with the Bluetooth SIG Qualification Program.
Ability to interface well with internal and external customers.
Experience with multiple phases of the product development process.
Scripting languages for test automation and/or engineering tools and supporting software.
Ability to work independently and multi-task effectively with strong attention to detail.
Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, and/or Electrical Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
