We're looking for someone like that who will: - Join our Managed Funds Team within the Transaction Decision - HF/FI department of Credit Risk Control. - Be responsible for the credit assessment, monitoring, control and transaction decision approval of UBS' counterparties, which encompass Banks, Broker Dealers, Insurance Companies, other Non-Bank Financial Institutions, Regulated Funds, Hedge Funds and Sovereign entities. - Focus on Asset Managers acting for investment funds and pension schemes, and it has the potential to expand to cover other Financial Institutions (including Banks, Insurance companies and Hedge Funds). As a Credit Analyst, Managed Funds you will be joining our team in our Business Solutions Center in Zabierzow (Krakow Business Park). Your team You'll be working closely with one or more Credit Officers covering these institution types in London, Zurich, Stamford and APAC. Product focus includes FX, OTC derivatives, cleared derivatives, futures and options, securities financing, prime brokerage, repos/reverse repos, loans, and structured transactions. Given the size of the portfolio, teamwork is of great importance and you are expected to provide absence coverage for designated colleagues. Responsibilities • Evaluate counterparty credit risk based on analysis of both quantitative and qualitative factors, including fundamental credit analysis, in order to recommend internal ratings and credit limits. • Interact with counterparties to conduct due diligence and obtain relevant information to complete credit requests and clarify issues that may arise as to suitability and authority for different trading products. • Assess counterparty exposure and evaluate transactional risks associated with various trading activities across Fixed Income, Equities and Foreign Exchange. • Assist the Credit Officers in the portfolio analysis and on-going monitoring of various risk reports (. stress reports, risk sensitivities reports, sector reports). • Prepare written counterparty periodic reviews/credit proposals for submission and presentation to Credit Officers, providing recommendations on appropriate trading limits and guidelines and drawing conclusions related to credit assessment and risk tolerance. • Monitor counterparty credit quality on an ongoing basis and provide support on daily tasks, including limit monitoring and excess management. • Interact with salespeople and traders covering a multitude of products in order to determine trading requirements and limit types to be established, as well as establishing guidelines governing trading. • Interact with Risk control Operations and Risk reporting teams to provide CRC inputs on front-to-back and/or risk reporting issues. • Interact with various internal departments to resolve ongoing issues, . Onboarding, Legal, Operations, Finance, Market Risk etc. • Participate in negotiations of trading documentation. • Participate in global & regional sector / portfolio reviews or other regional & global projects Your experience and skills You have: • University degree or international equivalent, preferably in accounting or finance related subjects. • 1-2 years relevant work experience. • Excellent English communication skills and the ability to write clear and concise risk analysis to support recommendations is crucial. • Some knowledge of financial markets, fund management, securities, and banking industries and financial accounting concepts. • Strong analytical and problem solving skills as well as an ability to think critically. • Ability to quickly grasp new concepts and perform ad hoc analyses. • Natural curiosity and ambition to succeed in a fast paced & challenging environment. You are: • Able to work productively both within a team environment and individually • Proficient in MS Excel, Word; • Keen on learning numerous applications specific to the department. Preferred Qualifications • General understanding of the credit rating drivers of Funds and other Financial Institutions. • Familiarity with derivatives and capital markets products and the transactional risks associated with them. • Language skills [Italian, German or any other European language is desirable].
