Job Summary

Dietsmann is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented SSM Coordinator to support the implementation and monitoring of Health, Safety, programs at the Gas-Power Plant. The successful candidate will assist the SSM Manager in ensuring compliance with applicable laws and standards, promoting a strong safety culture, and driving continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining SSM procedures and instructions.
• Monitor daily operations to ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.
• Conduct safety inspections, toolbox talks, and awareness sessions with staff.
• Report unsafe conditions, incidents, and near-misses, ensuring timely corrective actions.
• Support incident investigations and preparation of reports.
• Maintain SSM documentation and performance records.
• Provide training and induction programs for employees and contractors.
• Liaise with external auditors, inspectors, and certification bodies as required.
• Promote environmental responsibility and safe work practices throughout the plant.
• Manage all required health permits
• Report all data according to legal and Group requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, or related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in SSM roles, preferably in energy or industrial sectors.
• Knowledge of Romanian and EU SSM regulations and standards.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Fluency in English and Romanian is required.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with incident investigation and root cause analysis tools.
• Familiarity with CMMS or HSEQ reporting systems.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and team player.
