We are currently looking for a Continuous Improvement Responsible (EU & India) to join Westfalia-Automotive Group's team and drive operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
Strategic CI Planning: Define and implement the organization-wide CI strategy, aligning initiatives with overarching business objectives and site-specific operational plans.
Cross-Site Standardization: Establish and maintain standardized manufacturing procedures and "best-in-class" benchmarks across all European plants to reduce variation.
Lean & Six Sigma Leadership: Lead a portfolio of high-impact improvement projects, applying methodologies like Kaizen, 5S, and Value Stream Mapping (VSM).
Data-Driven Performance Analysis: Analyze operational data and KPIs (e.g., OEE, downtime, defect rates) to identify inefficiencies and prioritize improvement opportunities.
Capability Building & Training: Design and deliver training programs to build CI competencies among plant leaders and operators, fostering a "zero-defect" mentality.
Change Management: Act as a change agent to foster a sustainable culture of improvement, engaging stakeholders at all levels from the shop floor to senior leadership.
Workshop Facilitation: Organize and lead cross-functional workshops and problem-solving sessions to address operational bottlenecks.
Knowledge Sharing: Coordinate regular knowledge-transfer sessions between sites to ensure that successful local improvements are scaled regionally.
Benefits Realization & Reporting: Track, validate, and report on the financial and operational impact of CI projects to senior management.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with Operations, Quality, EHS, and Finance teams to ensure improvements align with safety and compliance standards.
Requirements:
Relevant Educational Background: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical), Operations Management, or Business Administration.
Extensive Industry Experience: At least 5 to 8 years of experience in manufacturing, with a proven track record of leading CI, Lean, or Six Sigma initiatives in a multi-site or global environment.
Advanced CI Methodology Expertise: Deep knowledge and practical application of Lean and Six Sigma tools such as DMAIC, Kaizen, VSM, 5S, and SMED.
Stakeholder Management & Leadership: Strong ability to influence cross-functional teams and senior leaders without direct authority, often within a complex matrix organization.
Mobility & Language Skills: Flexibility for significant travel (often up to 50%) across European sites and fluency in English plus at least one other relevant European language (German language).
