Founded in 1980 as Covoare Ungheni in Ungheni, Moldova, our story began with a passion for traditional carpet weaving, blending local heritage with emerging technologies to become one of Eastern Europe’s leading manufacturers. In 2003, we evolved into Moldabela through a strategic partnership and production modernization, incorporating state-of-the-art equipment—Schonherr, Van de Wiele, Superba, and others.

By 2020, celebrating our 40th anniversary, we solidified our leadership in natural wool carpets, exporting worldwide and emphasizing sustainability with eco-yarns from New Zealand and the UK.
