Job Description:

Hands-on configure and troubleshoot Cisco Wireless Equipment, Cisco Switches and Cisco Routers

50% of incidents to be solved are to be performed on  Cisco Wireless Equipment

40% of incidents to be solved are to be performed on  Cisco Switches

10% of incidents to be solved are to be performed on  Cisco Routers

Responsabilities:

  1. Setup, configure, and Support internal and/or external networks and maintain all systems, Applications, security, and network configurations (Data and Voice)
  2. Research, analyze, design, test, and implement networks systems
  3. Perform network design Upgrades and Equipment reconfigurations
  4. Provide technical Support to network Service Desk or customer operations, if requested
  5. Assist with network studies, traffic analyses and the preparation of forecasts
  6. Recommend modifications to the network configurations that reduce costs or improve service
  7. Provide expert level hands on network infrastructure Support for the enterprise-wide data communications network
  8. Maintain continuous operations for 24 X 7 network
  9. Perform installation, configuration, maintenance and operation of network equipment, cabling system, monitoring Software and specialty appliances
  10. Resolve networking issues involving complex configuration and technical depth
  11. Recommend, design and implement solutions for data network Projects
  12. Perform resource based capacity planning and management for network systems
  13. Collaborate with security team to identify ways to improve network security
  14. Participate in disaster recovery planning and exercise activities
  15. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department
  16. Manage one or more network administration projects
  17. Design and implement local and Wide Area Network solutions, including security, capacity planning, backup and recovery and disaster planning
  18. Experienced with technical architecture planning, deployment, and troubleshooting
  19. Able to manage a team of technicians and specialists and to serve as the last level of Support in troubleshooting network usage and equipment
  20. Manage multiple network administration projects
  21. Participate in internal & external audit activities

Qualifications:

  1. BA/BS in Computer Science or Information Systems Management, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience
  2. > 7 years of experience with certifications such as CNE, CCNA, CCNP and others desired
  3. Experience working in large network environmentsnodes) with Cisco, Juniper or Aruba networking equipment
  4. Advanced understanding of common network protocols, including SNMP, RIP, IPS, EIGRP
  5. Experience with network monitoring Tools (., SolarWinds, WhatsUP Gold, CiscoWorks)
  6. Expert knowledge of internet, intranet and extranet systems design (., security, content management, eCommerce, web and Application servers)
  7. Expert knowledge of replication, backup and disaster recovery design
  8. Expert knowledge of system sizing, capacity planning and performance tuning, and Storage and area network architecture
