We are looking for a suitable candidate for the position of Chart of Accounts Posting Schemes Expert, a key position within RCC ( Regional Competence Center) in Bucharest Finance Department responsible for maintaining the chart of accounts and the posting schemes, by ensuring that Group-wide accounting is compliant with both Business Units and Group needs.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • CoA maintenance by coordinating needs arising from either Group or local BU initiatives: analysis, system specifications for Fit+1 and Finance+ (technical setting such as Fit+1 FSGs, Finance+ account definition and controls, etc.) and testings
  • Posting schemes design, monitor and maintain the rules applicable Group-wide in both technical and not-technical accounting
  •  Document rules and processes, circulate among impacted Group/BU departments
  •  Complete post-implementation reviews to ensure successful delivery has been achieved and to ensure that improvements can be made for future projects                                                          
  • Cross-BU accounting support during closings:
  •  Perform central entries for cross-BU events in Fit+1 (AEI, lease, pensions, ARGO deferred taxes)
  • Technical closing calendar: maintenance and monitoring of deadlines during closings
  •  Identify and deliver service improvement activity related to financial accounting processes; actively work on analysis of tasks and their harmonization and standardization         
  •  Maintain and strengthen strong CPI Team dynamic, pro-actively participate to the Continuous Improvement methodology using Lean approach
  • Support other team members to run  process / transitions / harmonisation process

 

Future Challenges:

Under the responsibility of the Head of EH Group Reporting and Consolidation:

  • Design, monitor and maintain Group-wide standards for chart of account (CoA) and posting schemes with the ambition to simplify and harmonize
  • Document rules and processes
  • Enhance the interfaces between accounting systems (SAP Fit+1, Finance+, ECCS)

    Educational requirements

    • Bachelor degree and/or Masters Degree in the Financial field

    Functional knowledge:

    • Fully computer literate, advanced Excel and advanced experience of accounting packages (SAP) and Group BFC package reporting (Finance+)
    • Knowledge about IFRS
    • Part Qualified / Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA) or equivalent
    • Good knowledge in English

    Business expertise:

    • Experience of financial reporting in a Group environment and of monthly financial & accounting processes 
    • Extended experience in GL Accounting and other R2R processes
    • Accounting experience of 5 years or more.
    • Interpersonal Skills
    • Self-motivated with ability to work accurately and to tight deadlines
    • Customer focused and team player.
    • Extended problem solving skills (analysis, decision, communication, autonomy)
