Job Description
We are searching for a Bid & Tendering Custom Furniture Designer/Engineer to lead the preparation and submission of technical proposals for our high-end furniture projects. This role bridges design creativity for the furniture projects and commercial strategy, ensuring that all bids are compliant, competitive, and aligned with the client expectations.
This is a dynamic role working closely with international furniture suppliers and designing solutions for our various fit-out furniture projects.
The ideal candidate is familiar with the furniture materials and prices and experienced in designing technical furniture proposals or furniture factory experience as creating the offers.
Desirable:
Experience in fit-out industry tenders, with focus on the custom furniture
Knowledge of sustainable and bespoke custom furniture design.
Nice to have but not a must - Professional architectural registration or certification.
Key Responsibilities:
Tender & Bid Management:
Prepare, coordinate, and submit tenders and proposals for custom furniture projects.
Review client requirements, technical specifications, and tender documents to ensure compliance.
Collaborate with commercial teams to create accurate, competitive bids.
Design & Technical Expertise:
Develop detailed furniture concepts, technical drawings, and specifications for custom designs.
Provide guidance on materials, finishes, joinery, and manufacturing techniques.
Ensure designs meet client requirements, industry standards, and regulatory codes.
Client & Stakeholder Coordination:
Liaise with clients, contractors, and suppliers during the tendering process.
Conduct feasibility studies, site assessments, and design clarifications as needed.
Present proposals and designs professionally to clients or review committees.
Commercial & Strategic Contribution:
Support pricing strategies and cost estimation with the commercial team.
Identify opportunities to enhance bid success rates through innovative design and presentation.
Stay updated on market trends, competitors, and new materials or technologies in custom furniture.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Furniture Design & Wood Industry
Proven experience in bid and tender processes, particularly in custom furniture or high-end interior projects.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, rendering tools, or other relevant software.
Strong understanding of furniture design, materials, manufacturing, and ergonomics.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Strong organizational, time management, and project coordination abilities.
