The Senior Training Specialist is responsible for enhancing the competencies of individual employees by designing and conducting training programs that will boost employees’ workplace performance in alliance with our company’s core values. The Senior Training Specialist will perform training needs assessments, design and deliver curriculum and learning materials and manage all phases of training. This includes reporting, compliance documentation, optimization and system strategy. This individual will work to identify appropriate learning solution delivery methods and create and deliver training experiences and materials.
This role works with project team members and other internal teams to design course content that is role based and targeted to transferring specific skills to the end user.
Identify “core competencies” of current and future workforce.
Design and create training manuals, online learning modules and course materials.
Deploy competency mapping in the company, and implement training programs on both the organizational and individual level.
Ensure that statutory training requirements are met.
Create monthly and quarterly training plans.
Amend and revise programs as necessary, in order to adapt to the changes that occur in the work environment.
Assist managers in solving specific training problems, either on a one to one basis or in groups.
Train instructors and supervisors in techniques and skills for training and dealing with employees.
Evaluate training and development programs.
Design career development paths for all positions
Communicate career development to all employees.
Update training materials as needed.
Work in a team to produce programs that are satisfactory and engaging to all relevant participants in the organization.
Manage the Training Budget.
Develop testing and evaluation procedures.
Track and report progress across a variety of metrics.
The Senior Training Specialist will have strong computer skills (MS Office; Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic experience in programming and software development
