What you’ll do:
You’re going to be responsible for managing all of the expenses, cost-centre management, and associated costs for the Bucharest operation, which includes the monthly VAT declarations, income tax calculation, monthly tax declarations, the consolidations, accounts reconciliations, accruals, fixed assets, and all the other key balance sheet reconciliations; preparing reports for the financial analysis and presenting them to the management as well as completing all local statutory reporting and financial returns, interacting with local business functions and local/national authorities, acting as a signatory for the company. You will also provide monthly/quarterly and annual reporting and costs analysis, highlighting any key issues/risks/opportunities as well as carrying out all local banking, managing the local VAT and audited returns.
The role will also act as the Facilities Manager, responsible for negotiating supplier contracts for all facilities and stocks required for the office, overseeing all necessary contract addition, this role will be responsible for managing company communications for the Bucharest office, working closely with other local/EMEA/Global senior management, as part of a strong, cohesive leadership team.
Who you are:
You will have 5+ years’ experience in a financial management position and a strong knowledge of Romanian legislation (RAS, tax legislation and payroll), with an understanding of local Romanian GAAP and how that translates into US GAAP, so international experience is essential, ideally with a “Shared Service” type Romanian entity that recharges other companies within the group internationally.
We are looking for someone with excellent experience of a computerised financial accounting package and advanced Excel must be able to interact at all levels within the company right through to Global CEO are already recognised for your excellent leadership qualities, able to assert these at a local level and regional level, as well as your strong organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills. You must be creative and have critical thinking skills, being able to learn new concepts and participate in new projects. Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential.
