Currently we plan. is looking for several development engineers (m/f) for our top-clients in Cologne and Kerpen (Germany) for air-conditioning systems, electrical, body, chassis and powertrain.

Your responsibilities:

 

  • Development of components for new vehicles
  • Responsibility for a component from the concept phase to the start of production
  • This includes the requirements analysis, the constructive design of the components according to corresponding specifications, validation and release
  • Working together with interdisciplinary teams from engineering, design, quality, manufacturing, finance, marketing and purchasing
  • Cooperation with suppliers
  • Change management, cost and weight reduction
  • Supporting D-FMEAs
  • Participation in regular meetings to clarify and document the development status

 

Your profile:

 

  • Completed degree in mechanical engineering or a comparable academic education with corresponding specialist knowledge
  • Work experience in the development of components in the automotive industry (OEM or Tier1 supplier)
  • Good knowledge of FMEA and other quality methods
  • Experience in Catia or ProE
  • Very good MS Office knowledge, especially in Excel
  • Excellent English and German language skills
  • Analytical and solution oriented approach as well as the ability to quickly adapt to new and changing environments, team spirit, very good communication and presentation skills
